Wand Types

(general wand type information)

With the exception of the dark wand, all wands are associated with one type of magic, however not all spells can be amplified by using the associated type of staff, and certain spells can even be affected by special staffs outside of their primary category.

Dark Wand

(intro wand, no bonuses, notably doesn't have weapon stats)

Ominous Staff

(list of spells affected by an ominous staff)

The Ominous Staff is associated with ill spells. (for clarity ill is an internal technical spell category, in game all ill spells are simply labeled as magic type spells)

• Vexing Focus (summons more vexes and has a higher summon cap)

• Biting Focus (summons three rows of fangs when used offensively, or summons a wider defensive ring of fangs when crouch casting)

• Feasting Focus (spawns a ring of fangs around each target)

• Teeth Focus (summons many vicious teeth instead of just one)

• Shredding Focus (more spikes when crouch casting)

Additionally an ominous staff can also modify the following out of category spells.

• Rotting Focus (special staff effect, summons zombie vindicator servants instead)

• Osseous Focus (special staff effect, summons skeleton pillager servants instead)

Necro Staff

The Necro Staff is associated with necromancy spells.

• Rotting Focus (more zombies)

• Osseous Focus (more skeletons)

• Ghost Fire Focus (3*3 flame)

• Reaping Focus (more reapers)

• Spooky Focus (more wraiths)

• Phantasm Focus (more phantoms)

• Vanguard Focus (more vanguards)

• Blackguard Focus (more blackguards)

• Leeching Focus (applies weakness)

• Skull Focus (more haunted skulls)

Additionally a Necro Staff can also modify the following out of category spells.

• Hunting Focus (special staff effect, summons skeleton wolves instead)

• Slimy Focus (special staff effect, summons crypt slimes instead)

Geo Staff

The Geo Staff is associated with geomancy spells.

• Barricade Focus (increased chance of four bombs)

• Quaking Focus (wider area + disables shields)

• Pulverize Focus (wider area)

• Burrowing Focus (increase effective potency by 1)

• Scatter Focus (changes spell into channeling spell for more total mines)

• Eruption Focus (summons 3 mini volcanoes)

Wind Staff

The Wind Staff is associated with wind spells.

• Launch Focus (more powerful launches)

• Flight Focus (faster flight)

• Whirlwind Focus (deflects arrows and increased radius)

• Cyclone Focus (bigger cyclone and causes it to deal damage)

• Updraft Focus (increased radius and range)

• Wind Blast Focus (increased knockback and range)

• Trembling Focus (increased radius)

Additionally a wind staff can also modify the following out of category spells.

• Hunting Focus (special staff effect, summons twilight goats instead)

Storm Staff

The Frost Staff is associated with frost spells.

• Ice Spike Focus (fires piercing ice spears with bonus velocity)

• Ice Storm Focus (storm starts bigger)

• Hail Focus (hail cloud follows valid targets)

• Iceology Focus (ice chuck falls sooner)

• Blizzard Focus (rains ice spears instead of spikes)

• Chilling Focus (applies effect to nearby allies)

• Frost Nova Focus (bigger explosion and inflicts freezing II)

• Frostborn Focus (has a chance to summon an extra ice golem)

• Rotting Focus (special staff effect, summons frozen zombie servants)

• Osseous Focus (special staff effect, summons stray servants)

• Barricade Focus (special staff effect, summons glacial walls)
