A osseous focus allows the player to summon skeleton servants when equipped in a wand or staff.
Obtaining
Osseous focuses are crafted using a Necroturgy Ritual.

Spell
When equipped in a Wand or Staff, the player is able to summon a skeleton servant after casting.
Casting with a Necro Staff will summon 2 - 5 skeleton servants at once. The Nameless Staff will summon 7 skeleton servants instead, additionally casting it with a special Staff causes it to summon 2 special skeletons.
Skeleton servants will spawn nearby the player, and will attempt to spawn on top of the nearest floor.
Summon Types
If the spell is cast in with certain staffs, other types of skeleton servants can be summoned instead:
- Casting it with a Frost Staff will summon Stray Servants.
- Casting it with a Wild Staff will summon Mossy Skeleton Servants.
- Casting it with a Nether Staff will summon Wither Skeleton Servants.
- Casting it with a Abyss Staff will summon Sunken Skeleton Servants.
- Casting it with a Ominous Staff will summon Skeleton Pillager Servants.
Otherwise if the resulting skeleton is slated to spawn in certain areas, other types of skeleton servants can be summoned instead:
- If the skeleton were to be summoned in a cold overworld biome, under an open sky, it will summon as a stray servant.
- If the skeleton were to be spawned in a pillager outpost it will summon as a skeleton pillager.
- If the skeleton were to spawn in a structure that is tagged as being able to spawn wither skeletons AND the player has read a Bygone scroll, it will be summoned as a wither skeleton servant.
- If the skeleton were to be summoned in a jungle biome, it has a chance to summon as a mossy skeleton servant.
- If the the position the skeleton would be summoned at is in water, it will summon as a sunken skeleton servant.
Summon Down
After summoning, the player will receive the Summon Down effect. Subsequent summoning while having the effect will increase the effect's level and resetting with an increased duration.
Having the summon down effect will cause newly summoned skeleton servants to get Weakness and Sapped effects, with the level depending on the summon down's level.
Summon Limit
If player owns more than the summon limit of skeleton servants, it prevents the osseous focus from summoning more servants.
Enchantments
Osseous focuses can be enchanted with Potency and Duration.
Potency will cause newly spawned skeleton servants to get the Buff effect. The higher the level of Potency, the higher level of Buff it applies. Additionally potency levels also increases the summoned skeleton's arrow power by the same amount (buff does not inherently increase a skeleton's projectile damage).
Duration causes newly spawned skeletons to have a longer lifespan.
Ritual Ingredient
Osseous focuses are also used as an ingredient for several rituals, those being:
- Spooky Focus
- Blastling Focus
- Reaping Focus
- Vanguard Focus
Necromancer Servants
Standard Necromancer Servants and Drowned Necromancer Servants can be given an osseous focus by their owner to give them the ability to summon default and sunken skeleton servants respectively when they cast their summoning spell.
