Goety provides some new mechanics relating to the mod's progression. Most of the mechanics should not affect players that have the mod installed but not actively using it.

Soul Energy

Main Article: Soul Energy.

Soul Energy is the main power source of the mod. All artifices and spells are fueled by soul energy and is manipulated through several means.

Rituals

Main Article: Rituals.

Rituals are used to craft certain items, transform or summon mobs, using soul energy, surrounding blocks and items placed upon pedestals and the dark altar.

Illager Assault

Main Article: Illager Assault.

Illager Assaults are events that occur should the player accumulate a large amount of Soul Energy.

Brewing

Main Article: Brewing.

Brewing is a modded mechanic based on Witchery's brewing system allowing the creation of brews that can either add different types of status effects or effect the world in different ways.

Lichdom

Main Article: Lichdom.

Lichdom is an endgame player transformation that gives them the characteristics of a lich. It cannot be reversed without using commands.

Servants

Main Article: Servants.

Servants are mobs that are owned and/or summoned by other mobs or players. All servants will not attack their owners and will attack any mob or player that harm, or harmed by, them.

Research

Main Article: Research.

Research is a progression mechanic that unlocks certain rituals or servants, it is typically unlocked by using scrolls that can be found in certain generated structures or crafted using specific and rare items.

Wands

Main Article: Wands.

Wands (also known as staffs) are items capable of containing focuses to cast spells, they are also used for other things such as commanding servants.

Focuses

Main Article: Focuses.

Focuses are the source for casting spells when equipped inside a Wand or Staff. Most focuses require soul energy to cast.
