A dark metal ingot is an expensive metal ingot primarily used to create dark armor and tools. They are created using a necro brazier.

Dark metal ingots are primarily made using a necro brazier, they can be made with two different recipes:

They can be made with a cursed metal ingot, a block of sculk and either a ghast tear or a essence of shadow, the ghast tear recipe requires 2000 soul energy while the essence of shadow only needs 500.

A Block of Dark Metal can also be crafted back into 9 dark metal ingots.

They can also be used to in the rituals to upgrade fanged daggers and ominous scythes into hungry daggers and dark scythes respectively.

Dark metal ingots are the repair items for the dark tier and dark armor material, and thus can be used to repair the following items in an anvil:

Dark metal ingots can be used as an trim material for smithing, when doing so their base color is #1F1F1F.

- Dark Metal Ingots, its armor and tools, and their self-repairing properties, albeit through the use of soul energy, is based on and inspired by Thaumcraft's Void metal Ingots.
- Dark Metal was created due to the mod author getting tired of getting their armor and tools broken and to give soul energy more uses.
