Goety is a mod made by Polarice3. It's based on harnessing and using soul energy that's primarily produced by killing mobs or players. The mod is inspired by Thaumcraft 4, Witchery and other old Minecraft content.

The mod comes with an in-game documentation, the Black Book, that's only available if Patchouli is installed.
The mod comes in two versions, Goety 1 and Goety 2. Goety 1 refers to the original 1.16.5 version, while Goety 2 refers to the 1.19.2 and 1.20.1 versions. There are a number of differences from both versions as some items and blocks are not implemented between them.
